The Hoffman Chair with Armrests is a high quality replica of designer Josef Hoffman Austria (1870-1956), known for his simple and visually interesting dining chairs, many of which were designed for cafes in the early 20th century. The influence of art and craft movements is perfectly reflected in his work, as Hoffman embraced the industrial age to produce his excellent large-scale designs. Hoffman’s emphasis on straight, austere lines can be seen. This Hoffman chair was designed in 1925 in collaboration with Josef Frank and manufactured in the bentwood factory founded by Michael Thonet in 1861.
Made of solid elm wood and wicker seat, this chair can also be combined with the Hoffman chair.
